Most often, in my humble opinion, when software companies try to remake an old classic into today's latest and greatest graphics, they fail. I like the idea of being able to play a game I grew up with but almost everytime, I'd much rather be back plugging
quarters into the old beat stand up arcade version. This is not the case with Asteroids 98.
Very nice graphics considering it's just Asteroids. Everything is very smooth and objects are incredible in 3D. A very nice touch from the old white lined asteroids.
I had a hard time figuring out the controls at first. I actually didn't have time to check and see if they were customizable but after a few levels I got used to the default keys. Everything pretty much moved around like the old Asteroids. I mean again, it's still Asteroids !! heh.

I rather enjoyed this game. As always I need something to really hook me in to play it more than a couple of times. While the game is a vast improvement from the original Asteroids and eye candy is at a premium in this game, it's still just Asteroids. :)
