Hordes of nightmarish creatures are attacking ships and colonies throughout the galaxy. Evolved for compay, their armies have made easy work of the opposition. Now, it's up to the Hazard Team to respond. Lead your highly trained squad from volcanic worlds to deadly swamps, from starship hulls to the underground cities of long vanished races, from mercenary space stations to ice planets. Seek to unvocer the mysterious origins of the invaders and eliminate their threat once and for all.

That is the basic story line of the entire game. You start out fighting the borg, just as in the series (Voyager). You will have a few missions fighting them, then, just like the series, you escape the borg and get back home, just like the series. Once back on earth, you are told that you are no longer needed on the Hazard team. After a few more meetings, you meet Picard, who informs you that the Hazard team would be an asset to Enterprise, and pack up, because you're off to Enterprise.

The game is pretty much the same as before, you're part of the elite hazard team, and you must fend off aliens, or fend off boarding parties. The story starts with these aliens that have attacked another starship, and you must rescue them. It's a pretty good story all in all.


The graphics are based off of the Quake III engine, so they are pretty good still. It's Star Trek so you get all of the pretty special effects you would imagine in a FPS game. Nothing real new though as the Q3 engine is sort of dated.


It's your typical keyboard and mouse FPS game. Most of it is the typical W,A,S,D keys for movement, and mouse for firing, along with the various open/use, and reload keys. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Multiplayer (if any):

Multiplayer had some interesting options. Not just your standard affair here. You have the regular Holodeck matches, as well as capture the flag, but there are a few variations thrown in that make it pretty cool. They have a last man standing type (like Counter Strike), as well as a sniper one shot one kill mode. You spawn back into the game, but with a one shot one kill, it can be a pretty hair trigger match.


My only gripe about the game is for single player, the game is too short. I think I played maybe a total of 6 or 8 hours before I beat the game. While the story kept you interested, there were quite a few spots where the game felt like it was dragging, as after a mission, you would go back to Enterprise, and you would have to find your way around it, going back and forth between like the hazard ops area, and the bridge, for what seems like nothing more than filler. You would get a movie/cut scene, take the turbolift (load screen) to ops, only to get another movie, then take the turbolift to the hanger, or transporter, for yet another load screen. They should have been able to put that together a little better. All in all it was a fun game, however, it was too short in my opinion.
