Well, the other guys forgot to tell you that you are a cop, who is undercover trying to catch the bad guys... It's a pretty simple idea, go undercover, do all these jobs and try to figure out who is the bad guy so you can arrest him... The game is pretty fun, once you decide to cheat a little and remove the damage... I can't stand that the AI is go agressive... Like pyro and shamino said, the cops are totally zealous. The ram you, run head first into you, can out run you, and they seem to be everywhere (is that realistic? Where's a cop when you need one in real life?)... I tend to just blow by them, ignoring them for the most part, because once you turn off the damage (the only cheat I've used) the game tends to sort of even out. When they can't kill you right off, you still have to contend with the time factor, and even though you cannot die from damage, you still play hell trying to get around them, and the traffic to get to your destination in time... There's also the one I had to do about 15 times to 'scare' the guy to not talk... I had to do everything I could to get him to be scared enough to actually pass that one. You have to fill the bar in order to pass that one. Some of the others, you just have to get somewhere in time, or hit someone enough to damage their car, but for the most part, you do not have to fill the bar. For that one though, you had to fill it.

It's funny, I didn't know (exactly) it used the 3dfx until the second time I played. It didn't show the little 3dfx logo thing the first time I played. The next time, it showed the logo and I was like, no wonder it looks so good. The graphics are great... The smoke, the skid marks, the dusk, all done great. The buildings could look a little better when you get up close, but still they did a good job doing them. I also ran into the bug that pyro ran into in that I was near a ledge (lawn) and a cop car hit me, and ran me up into the water. At which point I couldn't get out, I had to restart the level because I couldn't get out of it no matter what I did... I'm not sure this fits here, but the one BIG gripe I have with the game is that if you restart a level, if it had an intro movie, you have to wait until it starts the movie (again and again) before you can hit escape and exit the movie... There should be something in the game that knows if you've seen it before, and then allows it to skip the movie if you've already seen it... Some of the harder levels where you have to do them a time or ten, you get sick of having it load the movie again and again before you can try to play the level again.

Ok, I'm stupid.. It took me a while to figure out how to change the controls... Whoever picked the default ones needs to go back to school or something... Who in the hell would pick the default keys? Geez... After I figured out how to change the keys, I was able to actually pass the 'test' and get going with the game... For those of you starting the game, I'd suggest playing some of the driving games before you start the real game, as it gets you use to the car and the handling. It helped me in the game a bunch.

Multiplayer (if any):

While I haven't played with anything but the regular sounds, I guess I'll have to go back in and play with the sounds... I didn't do anything but leave the defaults but I guess, taking into consideration the default playing keys, they probably picked medium sounds. But, while they might be med. sounds, they are good. I like the sound of hitting a parking meter as they plink off your hood. I haven't heard much in music, although there is an option to turn it on, I haven't done it yet, but I will.
